Board Training & Retreats
Board training is necessary for all board members to be sure they have
the knowledge and understanding to effectively carry out their critical
role in the organization.
CNM recommends board training once a year, whether you have new board
members or not, to build a shared vision for the board and develop a
strong team. Recurring training also keeps skills fresh and helps
remind new and old board members of their many important roles while
also learning any new regulations or strategies at the forefront of
nonprofit governance.
The 3-4 Hour Board Training “Effective Board Governance” provides an interactive environment

develop the areas to emphasize during the workshop, as
well as learn about the current function of
your board and board/staff relations.
