Custom Training is widely recognized as an efficient and effective way to improve staff commitment to performance and mission. Sessions are brokered and designed by the Center to provide highly targeted learning experiences for individual agencies, ensuring confidentiality as well as focused learning.
Sessions can be scheduled for convenient times and dates, at a location of the client agency’s choice. Customizable content is available in nonprofit management areas such as governance/board development, fund development/proposal writing, financial management, project planning, personal and professional development and marketing/public relations, as well as custom computer workshops in a variety of software topics. Materials are customized for the particular needs of each nonprofit.
The Center’s professional staff recruits experts in nonprofit management issues and facilitates the learning partnership through planning sessions with the instructor and agency leadership. Benefits of Custom Training go well beyond transfer of knowledge and building of skills, although accomplishing those goals is key. Other benefits include experiencing a meaningful and challenging professional learning experience that develops individuals and the sense of community at the same time.
The
fee schedule is determined by the session length, as well as the client
agency’s membership status with the Center and the nonprofit rate
