Helping nonprofits utilize effective technology to better serve their clients.

Overview
According to the Center’s research on nonprofit technology best practices, nonprofits should demonstrate the following:

  • Equipment is appropriate and adequate for their needs
  • Staff is appropriately trained in use of software and hardware
  • Data is secure, accessible and accurate
  • Documented inventory of equipment and software
  • Adequate and regular maintenance and support
  • Technology policies and procedures are in place including acceptable use guidelines
  • Written technology plan

The Center’s technology services help your agency put these best practices in place.

Services Include:

Education & Training
Seminars and computer workshops in technology topics to help your agency be more effective and efficient.  Classes are provided in a “hands-on” environment at the United Way computer lab, as well as through a NEW mobile lab for custom trainings at your location.
